Gummy Bears - Just Keep Swimming

Hello friends, and happy Sunday!  I hope you're having a lovely weekend.  I took full advantage of our beautiful weather yesterday; my garden is finally cleaned up (and I've got the scars to prove it - damn raspberry canes!) and I took my dog for a swim in the river yesterday - one of her most favourite things!  She's so worn out she's barely moved in the last 24 hours.  Silly girl!

Today's retiring feature is Just Keep Swimming, from the Occasions 2017 Catalogue.
This fun set has a lot of sweet images that layer, and in a really clever way - you can use them alone or together, and they can become different things - one stamp can be a macaron, a hot dog, or a hamburger, depending on how you stamp it!

But my favourite from this set is the gummy bear - he looks good enough to eat.

This simple card was created by layering two stamps of the gummy bear (the details and the "fill") and then covering him with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  The glue dries in a raised, glossy finish, making the gummy bear three-dimensional and oh-so-shiny.  Such a neat effect!  The bears take centre stage on this card, so it's super easy to finish off with a bit of twine and a simple sentiment.

Retiring stamps are guaranteed available until May 22, but retiring non-stamp items - like the Crushed Curry Baker's Twine, shown here - are only available while supplies last.  I took some time last night to remove the sold-out items from my stash, so I don't accidentally advertise them, and I was shocked at how much was already gone!  You'll want to hurry if you haven't checked out the shop lately - don't miss out on your favourites!

This month's host code - JX26H4GM - is your key to receiving a bundle of goodies in the mail - a bonus to your order!  Don't forget to add this code at check out so I can ensure you receive some DSP, embellishments, and ribbons as a thank-you.

Have a great day, and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Cheers,
Shannon
